New Delhi. American tech giant Apple is reportedly working on a new variant of the iPad mini, which will have a 120Hz promotional display instead of the existing 60Hz screen. The company launched the iPad and iPad mini with the A15 Bionic chip in September. The iPad mini has an 8.3-inch liquid retina display with True Tone feature. The Mini has ten times faster data transfer with USB-C and faster charging with 20W USB-C power adapter.

According to insiders at a Korean forum, Apple is testing a 120Hz promotional display for its next iPad mini. According to a report from GSM Arena, the 8.3 panel will be made by Samsung Display and will debut with the next version of the iPad mini.

On the sixth-generation iPad mini, some users began to complain about jelly scrolling problems, where in portrait mode the right side of the screen moves faster than the left side. However, the company called the behavior normal.

The rest of the hardware for the next-generation iPad mini is expected to remain largely unchanged from the current model. The base variant has A15 Bionic chipset, 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.
