Audio devices are an important part of smartphone accessory ecosystems. Oppo, Xiaomi, and Realme are all focusing on filling the gap between quality features and affordability in emerging markets like India with their low-cost audio devices. Following a wave of low-cost true wireless earphones, the next obstacle is successful noise-cancelling. With the Realme Buds Air 2, Realme is providing just that.
In this Realme Buds Air 2 review, we will cover almost all the topics so that any question related to the product will be solved and can make the buying decision.
Realme Buds Air 2 Overview :-
Realme recently launched the Realme Buds Air 2 in India, continuing its promising journey into the true wireless audio market. After announcing four wireless earbuds under Rs 5,000, this is the fifth member of the Realme TWS family and the successor to the Realme Buds Air from 2019.
We saw the TWS (True Wireless Stereo) segment rise at a rapid pace in 2020, and Realme was one of the top manufacturers, leading to a whopping 723% growth in Q3, 2020. The Realme Buds Q and Buds Air Neo were among the top five TWS, and with the Realme Buds Air 2, the company is attempting to duplicate that performance with excellent pricing and an incredible value for money proposition.

Realme Buds Air 2 Design :-
Realme put a lot of pressure on Apple AirPods for design inspiration when it first released TWS. A year later, however, the company decided to drop the Realme feature and introduce something new. Examples of this are Buds Air 2 and, more recently, Buds Air Pro. While it has a stem style, here this distinguishes between Air Buds 2 and first-generation Air Buds, which were similar to the Apple TWS.
Unlike the Realme Buds Air, which was heavily influenced by Apple Air pods in nature, the Buds Air 2 has a Realme touch to them. The silver stem of the earphones and the oval shape of the case distinguish them from the Realme Buds Air. The case is made of lightweight plastic that feels robust. It’s not the best material out there, but it’s really good for the price. The earbuds are made of the same material as the headphones and have interchangeable ear tips. Since the included silicone ear tips cannot suit all, the company included three sizes in the package.
The earbuds last about 5 hours on a single full charge, and the case charges them in less than 30 minutes. The case will completely charge the earbuds four times before giving up. This is with ANC switched on; turning it off will easily get you an extra hour of use before they need to go back into the case. The case does not allow wireless charging, but it does have a fast-charging USB-C port for charging itself and the earphones.
Realme Buds Air 2 Sound Quality :-
In terms of audio quality, the Buds Air 2 has an impressive profile. The mids appeared good, the tops were a little grainy at times, and the lows were fine. The bass is fine, and if you like EDM (Electronic Dance Music), you’ll find these to be a good buy. Even if you prefer Bollywood or pop music, these will be an excellent companion. These may not be the earphones for you if you love heavy metal.
The Realme Buds Air 2’s key feature is ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). Although it does not eliminate all noises, it performs wonderfully for the price. It mutes all low-pitched voices, which are popular in an office setting.
Verdicts about Realme buds Air 2 :-
Overall, the Buds Air 2 delivered great sound quality, unless you listen to heavy metal. These are ideal for listening to podcasts or making phone calls. Since they include ANC, they are suitable for use in shared indoor spaces. Overall, if you’re looking for a low-cost pair of TWS earbuds, the Buds Air 2 is one of the best options available right now.
