Realme Buds Q2 Review

Smartphone maker Realme has started spreading its feet in the audio segment as well. The company launched Realme Buds Q in June last year. At the same time, now the company has also launched its successor i.e. Realme Buds Q2 in the Indian market. It has been introduced with many features, one of which is noise cancellation. According to us, this is one of the biggest features of these buds. We tested these earbuds for a few days and through this article we are presenting our experience as a review for you. So let’s read the review of Realme Buds Q2.

Design of Realme Buds Q2:

The color variant of Realme Buds Q2 that we have got is Active Black. This is the standard color and almost every device looks good in this colour. It has a charging case. Also two earbuds and charging cable have been given. The earbuds are a bit bulky but look great. The glossy finish given on them is giving a good look. Although their color is black but the yellow color given under the rubber buds gives it a classy finish. They fit comfortably in the ears. They are 4.5 grams, so they are very compact and comfortable. Like we said, the design is a bit bulky but in appearance it is giving a very classy and elegant look.

The phone case is small and compact. It is made of plastic body. Its look is not glossy at all. Its charging case comes with a smooth finish, due to which it is giving a very good look. Its eartips are made of silicone material which is quite comfortable. The outer part of the eartips of the phone is glossy and it is touch sensitive.

Performance of Realme Buds Q2:

Talking about its performance, we liked this product very much in this segment. It has a very good touch sensitive zone. The glossy area of the earbuds is touch sensitive. Tapping twice on it plays and pauses the video. These controls can also be customized through the Realme Link app. There are some modes in it. It has three modes for noise control. Its first control is noise cancellation. If we enable this mode, when you watch a video or play a game in the earbuds, there is no outside sound and we get a tremendous experience. Its second mode is Normal and third is transparency. Through both these modes, users also get tremendous experience.

However, we found one drawback in these earbuds which is the volume up and volume down control. If you want to increase or decrease the volume of a video, then you have to depend on the source device to which you have connected the earbuds. It has an indicator light, which shows the charging. These earbuds connect with Android and iOS.

With the help of Realme Link app, you can also enable game mode and sound effects. Its sound quality was very good while playing the game. If its noise cancellation is turned on along with playing the game, then the fun of gaming is doubled. No outside sound is heard in this mode. But if you keep the volume low in this mode, you may hear some extraneous sound. All the controls of these earbuds can be controlled from this app.

However, if the video is watched or the game is played in the normal mode, then you will hear the sound outside. Also, outside sound is heard even in transparency mode. Talking about the sound quality of the earbuds, while watching any video, the sound quality comes up to an average mark. But as soon as it is increased, some detailing starts missing in the voice. In such a situation, we would advise you to watch videos or play games at the average mark only.

In terms of connectivity, these earbuds support Bluetooth 5.2. Also SBC and AAC support Bluetooth codecs. Also, 10mm dynamic drivers have been given in it. At the same time, ANC and app support is also provided. It has USB Type-C fast charging. It comes with an IPX5 rating, which makes it able to survive even in water splashes or wet weather. We tried many music apps through these earbuds. In all we got the best and tremendous performance.

Battery of Realme Buds Q2:

Talking about battery life, it was the topper in this segment. We used it with an Android phone. Once on a full charge, it lasted about one and a half days. This is the average usage figure. When we tested it by watching videos continuously, the full charged battery lasted for 10 to 11 hours. At the same time, once we charged it for only 10 minutes and used it for about three and a half hours.

Is Realme Buds Q2 a better option at this price:

Talking about the price, it is Rs 2,499. Compared to its features, its price is just right. It cannot be called expensive. With strong features, great sound quality and great performance, it can prove to be the best option. At the same time, if compared, it is a strong option with these features at this price.

Our Verdict:

The features that the company has given in Realme Buds Q2 and the price at which it is given is a better combination. It has got many great features like active noise cancellation, touch controls, app support, a good battery life. Its price is Rs 2,499. According to us, this proves to be the best option.
