New Delhi. Following the launch of JioPhone Next, Jio is reportedly preparing to launch its own laptop. JioBook has been spotted on Geekbench, which may be powered by MediaTek MT8788 SoC processor. If the GeekBench list is to be believed, the JioBook may have 2GB of RAM and will work on the Android 11 operating system.
Earlier, the laptop was seen on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website. Based on the model numbers, it is said that it will have three different variants. According to earlier reports, the Jio laptop will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, which will be paired with a Snapdragon X12 4G modem.
According to the latest information, the company is conducting internal tests on its performance. The idea is to launch this laptop in the next few months. A few days ago, Jio Book with model numbers NB1118QMW, NB1148QMW and NB1112MM was seen on BIS. Of these, JioBook with model number NB1112MM is now listed on Geekbench and some of its specifications have also come out.
2GB RAM and MediaTek processor
JioBook with model number NB1112MM has 2GB RAM As for the processor, the company is going to offer MediaTek MT6788 chipset in it. This Jiobook works on Android 11 operating system. It got 1178 in GeekBench’s single-core test and 4246 in multi-core test.
According to XDA developers, this notebook has an HD display with a resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels. No information has come out yet about the display size of Jio Book. XDA said in its report that the Jio Book will come with Snapdragon 665 chipset and the company will also offer Snapdragon X12 modem for 4G connectivity.
4GB RAM in the top variant
The base model of Jio Book can come with 2GB LPDDDR4x RAM and 32GB eMMC storage. At the same time, its top-end variant can be seen with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage. For connectivity, in addition to 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi and HDMI are expected to be available in the GeoBook.
